Family Time

We went down to visit Grandma and Grandpa last weekend and got to see Ali and Audrey too. Kyra was very excited to see her cousins and grandparents. The kids had some fun playing outside and helping out with the garden.

More AZ Friends

We got to meet more of Mom and Dad's friends at the Zoo last Friday. No, not the monkeys. Mom's friend Kristi who she used to work with out in Arizona. Kristi was visiting with her two kids, Jordan and Madison. Jordan is just five days older than Owen and Madison is 4 1/2 months old. Their Grandma came to help Kristi with the two kids and she was really nice too. We had lots of fun together!


I just love maps!! Every time we go to the zoo I need to look at the map. I already know where everything is, but I still want my map!

Oh yeah.....I almost forgot. Owen had laser surgery Friday morning before our Zoo trip. He did really well and his doctor said he may only need a few more treatments. We were up at 5:15 am so he was a little tired at 2 pm on the way home.

We got to meet some new friends this past Tuesday. Lily and Ryan Rivera came to Illinois from Arizona (with their parents Michelle and Luis) and we got to have a picnic with them. They are 8 1/2 months old and lots of fun.

The grown-ups were just so amazed that in just five years there have been five kids added to this friendship. They were also amazed that we could get even one picture with all five in it staying still.

Mom and Dad were super excited to meet their Goddaughter Lily. She is soooo smiley!

Owen and I had to go play and couldn't stand still to take more pictures so here are the grown-ups with the babies. I took the picture and I think I did a pretty good job.

After the parade.....

Here are a few pics from after the parade. Papa and Grandma came over for a cookout and then a little Guitar Hero fun. Grandma's already got fans throwing themselves at her feet.

A Visit from Sara

Mom's friend Sara came to visit us last week and spent the day with us. We had so much fun playing with her. She played hide and seek with all of us and she also played Barbies with me. I made her some pictures to take home with her so she could remember our fun day. Owen really liked Sara but didn't want to sit still to have his picture taken with her. I got to take the picture of Mom and Sara. I think I'm getting pretty good at taking pictures.

The Parade

We went to the parade yesterday and had so much fun!! There were lots of fire engines, gymnastics clubs and bands. And lots and lots of candy!!!! Owen loved the candy. He figured out the whole candy thing pretty quickly and even ran out into the street to get some once. Mom caught him pretty quickly though. Here's a picture of Owen getting ready for the parade. I'm sitting behind him eating some chocolate ice cream.

It was only supposed to be 80 degrees, but it was closer to 90. The umbrella was strictly to keep us a bit cooler because it was a very sunny day!

The parade lasted about 2 hours and Owen, Will and I just got really hot at the end. Luckily some groups were handing out cold water bottles and even some freezer pops!

Owen held on to his bouquet of lollipops for quite a while. He wanted to eat every one right away. Mom let him have one during the parade and one at home. He loved them! He also loved when his tongue turned blue from the blue raspberry lollipop.

One tired little boy......But what a fun day!!

Swimming lessons

Owen and I have been going to swim lessons last week and this week. I think they're really fun and Owen's getting used to them. He used to cry a lot but this week it's been sunny and warm and I think that helps him. I am getting really good at swimming on my front and back. I also went off the diving board two days last week. I told Mom though that I didn't want to go on it two times in one class, just once. Hopefully we can get pictures of me jumping off the diving board!!!

Biker girl

I finally got to go on a bike ride around my neighborhood. I had to wait until I got a helmet that fit right and then we were off. I went on three bike rides yesterday--two with mom and one with dad. It was so much fun but I'm very careful and I brake if I feel like I'm going too fast--which is sometimes a lot. I love riding my bike and want to ride it ALL the time!!

Out on the Chain O'Lakes

We went out on Papa's boat yesterday (Friday 7/11) and had lots of fun in the sun!

Neither of the boys likes wearing a life jacket but they look so darn cute!

Will was too busy playing with a tag on the towel to pose for the picture.

Now everyone says that Owen doesn't like to eat much, but he really couldn't get enough of cantalope at snacktime. He was like a piggy eating two pieces at a time!

Look at all those teeth!!!

Well, as you all can see my smile is getting better by the day. I got four new teeth on top within about 6-7 days of each other. Mom and Dad say that I was a little crabby and not quite myself for a few days, but really not too bad. I think these new teeth feel really cool. I just love sticking my tongue out and in all the time. I also think it should open a whole new world of opportunities as far as eating goes. Mom said tonight I might get to try some spaghetti. I can't wait!! Even Owen likes it!!!


Owen and I look like we're up to something, but we're not....really!!! Mom and Dad are afraid that this is what the future may look like. I'm not sure I understand that yet.

Swing Away!

Owen and I really like going on the swings. I am getting really good at swinging all by myself without any pushes at all. I'm ready for the Kindergarten playground!!!

Princess Time

One of Dad's friends from college came over to our house with his family and we had so much fun. Here is a picture of Alyvia and me dressed up like princesses. We also played Polly Pockets, Barbies, hid from Owen and lots of other fun stuff. We had a really nice time with Kevin, Nicole and their Will too. I wanted to see them again the next day but Mom said they were going on a big trip and maybe we'd get to see them again soon. I really hope so!!!
